Middle and High School are formative times for all of us. "conflict: understanding & managing it well"
BEGINS MARCH 12
In asking students last year what topics might be helpful to them, dealing with conflict was one of the suggestions. So, beginning on March 12, our Wednesday youth group discussion time will focus on how we do that. Among the topics we'll discuss are causes of conflict, how conflict can be either constructive or destructive, what our own posture should be toward those with whom we disagree, and basic approaches to handling various kinds of situations.
WEDNESDAY YOUTH GROUP
6:30-8:00PM I SEPTEMBER THROUGH MAY
Our typical Wednesday youth group includes gym or outdoor game time, worship, teaching, and small groups. Recent teaching series have included looks at mental health concerns like anxiety, worry, and stress and how to deal with them; how to share our faith; and Christian sexuality. Some teachings have been done by a pastor, some by an outside speaker, and some using high-quality video presentations.
SUNDAY MORNING CONFIRMATION
9:00-10:00AM I SEPTEMBER THROUGH MAY
Confirmation studies are a unique time for 7th and 8th grade students to dive deep into Scripture, Church History, and personal discipleship. For students who have already made a personal commitment to Christ, it’s an opportunity to grow in their faith. For those who have not decided about Jesus yet, it’s an opportunity to consider following him themselves.
