"Darkness" (Exodus 10:21-29). Despite the joy of people as Jesus rode into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, he himself wept over the city because of its refusal to recognize him. In the next-to-last plague, it's not only spiritual darkness but physical darkness that envelopes Egypt. But darkness was not the state for God's people as the final actions of God's work got close.
