“Keeping Love Alive” (Rev. 2:1-7). It’s not unusual for love to “grow cold” and for the early excitement in a relationship to fade. The first letter in Revelation 2-3 is written to the Church in Ephesus, and it sets the tone for the other six. There are things Jesus himself affirms and things he challenges, all for the purpose of reminding them—and us—who our “first love” must be.
