“The Wonderful Life of Work” (Proverbs 10:4-5). Who do you know who “lives for the weekend,” longs for a life of leisure, or can’t wait to retire? Rest and refreshment are part of the rhythm of creation, but so is work, and one of the recurring themes in Proverbs is its value. Far from being a necessary evil, work is an essential part of God’s blessing for us and others.
